The very elaborate and gold-coloured inlaid wooden platform was used to carry the status of the Immaculate Madonna in procession. Perhaps dating back to the mid-19th century when the same statue was purchased by the Congregation of the Immaculate Conception and was used until the beginning of 2000. Even though it was restored in 2023, it has no longer been used for some years due to its deterioration (see photo from 2015 which made it dangerous and unsuitable to bear weights like those of the statue of the Madonna
